Dedicated Backcountry Trail Crew Volunteers,
I wanted to remind you that this Sunday (3/28/10) is March?s Trail Work Day. We will be working on Quail Run & East Flats Trails this month. The weather has been great at the park hovering around 70 degrees. The flowers are blooming and the vegetation is green!
Please join me and many other volunteers as we get to work fixing & maintaining our trails for the enjoyment of all. We will work hard, but have fun doing it. Come prepared to work with sturdy shoes, water, sunscreen, long pants/long sleeve shirt (recommended), gloves and a hat. Tools will be provided as will some snacks courtesy of Caspers Park Preservation Foundation (CPPF).
No experience necessary.
Please meet at the parking lot near the entrance booth at Caspers Wilderness Park at 8:00am. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can fill out paperwork, watch a safety video (if necessary) and do introductions.
Event is FREE; Park Entry is FREE!
Please RSVP to Park Ranger Adam Shuck at 949.923.2208 or firstname.lastname@example.org or sign up on the OC Hiking & Backpacking Meet Up Event Calendar.
In addition, I am going to try to allow some of our valuable volunteers the opportunity to receive a Disneyland Pass with the Give a Day, Get a Day program. This program is in the process of finishing, so I am not sure if it will work or not, but let?s give it a try. If you are a current OC Hiking & Backpacking Club member and are interested, please go to http://honos.handsonnetwork.org/?what=1&where=92675&lang=en&Submit=Find to find our event and sign up. If you have trouble with the link, try http://disneyparks.disney.go.com I will get notified when you sign up and then I will verify your attendance after the event and you can redeem your ticket to Disneyland. This posting should appear in the next 24 hours. There are only 10 spaces available to get the tickets, so keep an eye out for the posting (visit it frequently) and sign up right away!!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
