Rain! when will it ever end? Well I can’t answer that question with any certainty but I can say it will happen sooner or later. When it does we need to be ready to help get our local trails back in condition for everyone to enjoy.
We have some tentative dates to work in a couple of the Orange County Parks.
Saturday, March 9th O’Neill Regional Park to work on the new entrance to the Waterworks trail. Meeting location will be given prior to the event. Please rsvp to this email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Saturday March 16th, 23rd, and 30th and possibly continue on to Saturdays in April. Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park.
Meet at Glenn Ranch Parking lot, and head out to the work site at 8:00 am. Please bring gloves (if you have them), water, snacks and closed toe shoes. If you can make make any of these events please rsvp to this email at email@example.com
The Laguna Canyon Foundation are scheduling trail stewardship days in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park and Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park. You can find information on signing up for those events on their website below.
With all the rain we have been getting it is always best to check to see if the park is open before heading out, you can find the status by checking these websites below.
March 7th Trail Assistant Volunteer Information & Training Session 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Assist with reporting and monitoring trail safety and maintenance. Provide route information, maps, rules & regulations and directions to visitors on the trails in the back country at San Onofre State Beach. 4-8 hours per month with flexible hours.

With all the trail work that will be needed to support these events we need volunteers to help on the trails. We know that not everyone has the time to give so there is always the option to donate to support those that do come out, SHARE knows we can’t pay our volunteers what they are worth but we do spend considerable funds to feed them and make sure they have the tools needed to do the job, if you can’t make it out to help you can also help by donating at the button below.
