Robin’s Weekly Ride Report

18 mile ride in Daley Ranch

From the La Honda Drive parking area head east on Creek Crossing, turning right on East Ridge and left on Sage.  This is up and down at first then a steady but manageable climb.

Turn left at Coyote Run then right on Diamond Back which will then return to Sage.  Fun singletrack alternative to just riding Sage all the way up.

Left on Sage and down to Jack Creek Meadow Loop.  Turn right and follow this road as it dips and climbs toward the back of the park.  After making a ‘U’ turn at the park boundary,  turn right on Hidden Spring.

Hidden Spring is a tough climb even when conditions are good.   It is very steep and rocky. Continue on this road until it ends at Eagleman Oak then make a left and immediate right on Burnt Mountain, a short but fun single track alternative to riding the road around the mountain.

When the single track ends at the other side of Eagleman, turn left.  Continue along the road keeping an eye out for the Bobcat trail.  Turn left on Bobcat, a great single track though oak groves.

Bobcat ends at Cougar ridge aka “Three Bitches” .  (I’m pretty sure every park has Three Bitches and Four Corners.)  Turn left and prepare to pay for the fun you just had on Bobcat.

At the top, pass the intersection with Eagleman and continue to the right on Cougar.  Eventually you will find the Crest singletrack on the left.  Follow this up and down, sometimes sketchy singletrack until it ends at Boulder Loop.  If you have had enough, just turn left and go to Ranch Road and back to the car.  If you want more, and don’t mind more climbing, turn right on Boulder Loop keeping an eye out for Rock Ridge singletrack on the left.  Ride Rock Ridge until it hits the other end of Boulder Loop then turn left, then right on Ranch Road which will take you back to your car.

The nice thing about this ride is that when you are done, you are only 15 minutes from Stone Brewery.
