Crystal Cove State Park Trail Work Day

What: Restoration and realignment of the Ticketron trail in Crystal Cove State Park
When: Saturday January 9, 2010
Time: 8 am to 1 pm
Where: Meet at the cul-de-sac at the end of Ridge Park Road in Newport Beach (directions and map attached).

Event: We will be planting native plants on the old Ticketron trail grade to restore sensitive coastal sage scrub habitat. In addition, we will be working on improvements to the new Ticketron trail. Lunch will be served to participants at noon. Recommend sturdy boots or running shoes, long shirts and pants, Hat, and Water. In addition, please bring small trowel for planting and a willingness to enjoy nature and get a little dirty working in Crystal Cove State Park. The Hike or ride bike to work site is 1.2 miles from staging location. Great way to enjoy nature and earn community service hours. We look forward to seeing you!

· San Diego Freeway exit at MacArthur Blvd – proceed south about 3 miles
· Left on San Joaquin Road – up hill
· Right on Newport Coast Dr.
· Next Left on Ridge Park Road – up hill
· Meeting place is at the end of Ridge Park Road at Cul-de-Sac
